Where to Travel When You Hate the Winter Cold

Winter can be a wonderful time of the year for some people. For others, it can be freezing, stressful, lonely, depressing, and all-around terrible. Don’t let the weather get you down! Here are some of the best travel ideas to get you away from the cold.

Go to the Desert

You might be surprised just how much the desert has to offer. Some of the most beautiful places in the United States are found in the desert. While such regions can be nauseatingly hot in the summertime, their dry air and beautiful landscapes create a great temperature in a zone that’s ripe for exploration. Utah, Nevada, California, Arizona, and New Mexico have some of the best desert environments and hikes. National parks like Arches or the Mojave Desert Mountains are national treasures. You can also find fantastic tourist attractions like the legendary city of Las Vegas in the desert regions.

Visit a Resort Town

Resort towns can be found by the dozen along the coasts of the southeast and southwest of North America. That’s because such beachside locations have the ideal climate to attract tourists. Often, such places have coastal settlements made up of attractions, restaurants, hotels, and more to accommodate tourists. Sometimes, they might be international vacation spots, like in Miami, Florida, or Malibu, California. Other times, they might not be quite as well-known, but they still will pack a ton of interesting things to do. For example, Punta de Mita in Mexico offers a great culture and relaxing activities. The luxury resort spa retreat Vietnam also offers a place of relaxation and rejuvenation just for you! Don’t be afraid to explore places that you’ve never been to before!

Go On a Cruise

Cruises are basically pre planned vacations. You won’t have to worry about food, travel, or entertainment. While sometimes they can be a bit pricey, you can also usually find some good bargains if you look carefully. There will be lots and lots of travel options, but most of the time cruises tend to have routes in tropical waters. You’ll be able to visit islands in the Caribbean or the coasts of California and Mexico. All you’ll have to plan is what you want to do once the boat docks at wherever you want to go.

There is a huge range of potential destinations awaiting you–all of them containing diverse things to experience and a big variety in price. Whether you want to spend the holidays having wonderful adventures or staying inside and enjoying your rest, there are warmer things waiting for you.
