Sawandi Wilson, best known for playing Captain Leto in the final season of Star Trek: Discovery will be moving to the fictional town of Port Charles and joining the General Hospital cast as newcomer Isaiah. So far, the only information about the new character is that he will have a connection with Lucky, played by actor Jonathan Jackson. Wilson will debut his role on August 26. It isn’t known yet how long Isaiah will stick around Port Charles, but fans will surely be excited to see a new face in town.
Fans are also excited about the return of Lucky, who hasn’t been seen on General Hospital since 2015. Jackson has portrayed the character, Lucky, since 1993. Jackson returned to continue with his 386th episode as Lucky on August 23. The return to the show was short lived but let fans catch a glimpse of Lucky sitting in what appeared to be a prison. He was shown telling an unidentified person that would do whatever that person wanted him to do.
For the last decade, fans have assumed Lucky was living in Africa, so now many are left wondering what, exactly, has Lucky been up to? Another question fans want to know is, how does this new character Isaiah connect with Lucky? Could he be a prisoner, or is he possibly someone that Lucky met in Africa during his time there?
Well fans, we’ll all have to wait to find that out until Wilson, in his new role as Isaiah, makes his official debut when he arrives in Port Charles later this month.
General Hospital airs on ABC on weekdays at 2 PM (EST)
