Quality time is hard to come by. Time, in general is hard to come by if you’re a working parent. Not only is there a house to clean, food to cook but you must work and do a lot of the shuttling of the kids to where they need to go. Homework is a task and finding time for yourself is generally non-existent. However, there are many ways that you can make quality time for the entire family.

 

Minimalists tend to focus on the experience and relationships, rather than the stuff or to-do lists that they battle each day. By having this frame of mind, you can essentially see what is most important to you and act to change the way you do things.

Between home and work, you probably are feeling overwhelmed. By focusing on essential tasks at both work and home, you can cut down on the endless list of to-dos. You’re never going to get the whole list done in one day, so focusing on the most important aspects ensure that you will not burn yourself out in the process.

 

Identify the Most Important Things in Life, Remove Everything Else

 

By identifying what is most important to you, you can remove everything else that you don’t need. This also means identifying people and places that make you the happiest. Focus on these things, instead of the material things that you have inside your home.

 

The bottom line is that if you let these things get in your way of happiness, they’re going too. By identifying the things that matter most to you, instead of the things that just take time; you can live much happier and have a more fulfilling life overall. Not only that, but your kids will have more one on one time with you, as well as your spouse. This is a great situation for all involved.
