When you started your business, you came up with a lot of different plans for a lot of different aspects. One of those should have been the protocols and procedures designed to keep your employees safe. As your business grows and changes, it’s important to reevaluate those protocols and procedures to make sure they are still relevant and provide reasonable protection. Ideally, you won’t have to deal with injured employees because they just won’t get injured, but that’s not likely to happen, even if only because of human error. Make sure you have a plan for handling workplace injuries so you can minimize their impact when they do happen.
Business leaders need to invest in safety at their workplaces. Increasing training, using protective equipment, and periodically reevaluating safety protocols and procedures can help protect people.
